Join Bob's Journey Fighting Cancer!

Our friend who has touched our lives and helped so many, now needs our help.  Bob Ellett's Journey to beat brain cancer began on July 16th, 2017 when he went to Mountain West Medical Center with severe back pain.  While there Doctors discovered a tumor on the right side of his brain.  They took a biopsy and waited for results.

On July 28th Bob went back to the hospital with a severe headache.  They found a bleed on his brain and an infection in his blood.  The day after, the bleed stopped, the infection was being treated, and Bob was up and feeling better while harassing the nurses.

On July 30th the pathology report came back confirming Bob's tumor was a Level 4 Glioblastoma.  It was a tough day for his children and lovely wife, Mindee.  After the initial shock, both he and his wonderful family were resolute to meet this challenge head on and beat it!  So Bob's Journey continued...

Bob has returned home but the fight rages on.  He is still battling the blood infection and started radiation treatments on August 14th.  When they have his blood infection under control they will start oral chemotherapy.  Radiation treatments have continued and some shrinkage of the tumor has been detected.  Bob deals with nausea, headaches and being tired, all with pragmatic optimism.  He truly is remarkable...

Bob enjoys watching his daughter Sarah play on the Grantsville High School girls soccer team.  He watches professional soccer on television and takes in a Grantsville football game when the Cowboys are at home and he feels up to it.  He loves working with his boys, and each one of them have Bob's amazing work ethic.   He attends church and community functions when he is able and he loves being with his dear family.

Bob has always just shown up bright and early to mow lawns, till gardens, shovel snow and fix things just because people needed help.  Often he would come and go undetected, bringing smiles and tears of gratitude to those whom he secretly visited.  Bob was the first in line when a call for service was made at church, at school, or in the community.  His family would always be with him.  Bob was also Troop 516's Scoutmaster and had a second family of 12 to 14 year old boys who continue to love him.

Bob is a hard working husband and father that always sets a good example for his children and all who know him.  His life so far has been one of unselfish service, and a better friend would be hard to find!

Now, Bob and his family need our help more than ever.   They need our prayers, they need our love, they need our service and they need our generous financial support.  They would never ask.  Mindee works two jobs, the children all have jobs and chores when not in school, and their finances are tight.  They have increasing medical treatments, medications, doctor and hospital bills, and living expenses that all need attention.  They are humble people that live within their means and have worked hard all their lives, often doing without for the benefit of their children and helping others.  No one should have to fight alone!

We have the opportunity to make a difference and to ease worry and concern for Bob and his family.  Won't you please join us in helping lessen their financial burdens with a loving donation to the Ellett family?  Bob, Mindee, and their children are grateful for any help you can provide.  There has already been an outpouring of love and concern from many family and friends.  Please continue to love, hope, pray and provide support for Bob and his great family as Bob's Journey continues....

Thank you all for the generous love and support for the Bob Ellett Family.  We all believe in miracles... let's help make one happen for Bob!
