Bobby's Daughter

Donation protected
As most of you now know, our beloved brother Bobby died very suddenly and unexpectedly.  Because he had been on dialysis for so very long, he was no longer eligible for life insurance.  Bobby was a critical care nurse for many years and loved that he was able to provide comfort to those families who had to watch their own loved ones fight for their lives.  But once dialysis was required, Bobby was forced to make ends meet with the disability income he received from the hospital.

We now find ourselves with many unexpected challenges and costs that Bobby was simply not prepared for.   His daughter, Marley (her friends know her as Kayden), is now caught up in the crossfire as her "Pop" was going to pay for her college tuition and all of those other things parents do when their child first moves away from home.  Marley just graduated high school a few months ago and is working two jobs, but there is just no way for her to pay for Bobby's funeral and the other related expenses.  To make matters worse the bank will be coming to repo' Bobby's car that Marley was using to get back and forth to work.

My elderly folks were sharing the house and splitting the cost-of-living with Bobby, but it now looks like we will have to sell the house.  Ricky and I are going to take care of them, but our family is most concerned about Marley.  She was a "daddy's girl" all the way and just isn't ready financially to take the next steps in her life journey.  As uncomfortable as it is for me, I must ask that you consider a small donation in lieu of flowers or even the gas money costs to drive or fly to Palm Coast, Florida.  Please know that every penny will be used for Bobby's final expenses, and anything left will be given to Marley to help her with her "first step" as she transitions to an independent young adult.

Our plans are to hold a small memorial picnic BBQ (hot dogs and hamburgers) here at Bobby's home on Saturday, September 8th, from 12pm - 4pm.  We're asking those who can come to bring a favorite dish.  Regardless of whether or not you can attend our celebration, I want personally let you know how so very much we appreciate you and for all of the kind words, prayers, and letters of sympathy.

With love from the entire Grabau family!!!
