<div>Robert Roberts, or <em>DJ Bobby Roberts</em> to some, is a Bermondsey born and bred local legend. In 2015 he was awarded the Mayor of Southwark’s “Honorary services to the community” award for his philanthropic work within Bermondsey, Rotherhithe and Southwark. His kindness and support for the community knows no end, having run countless charity events every year, <a href="https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeT2emyk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">37 years of Marathon day fundraising</a> , restoring dilapidated churches and schools (free of charge), and needless to say, the dedicated care he continually provides to the wider Southwark community, family and friends. He is renowned by the community as a reliable helping hand, always there for those in need.<em> And now he needs the community… </em>

<div>Shortly before having heart surgery, in July 2024 Robert was diagnosed with stage 4 <strong>Pancreatic Cancer. </strong>The diagnoses is devastating, but true to his style, Robert refuses to let cancer win and with the go ahead from his team, he has just begun treatment.

<div>But as you know, Chemo is gruelling and the effects on his body are being felt. To match the efforts of oncology, additional intergrative treatments of <strong>High dose Vitamin C and Mistletoe</strong> infusions have been offered to both help strengthen his body and to attack the cancer cells. Survival rates for those with later stages of cancer having such treatment is far greater than those going through chemo alone. The incredible results from these treatments on pancreatic cancer survivors has been the light of hope which he so desperately needs.

<div>However, currently this treatment is not provided on the NHS, so private care is his only option. The cost for both rounds of infusions and the aftercare package stands at £22,980. As a retired builder, this is money that can’t be pulled from thin air, and so with his permission we his family have set up this Go Fund me page to help raise the funds and start treatments as soon as possible.

<div>For a man who has given so much to his community, we are now calling on that same community to help with as little or as much as they can give. Together we want to make sure he has the best possible chance of beating cancer.
