Bobby and Darlene's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Bobby and Darlene Wangler are a young couple in their 50’s who have been married for 23 years.  Bobby and Darlene Live in Jamestown Tennessee.  Bobby is from Tilton Illinois and Darlene is from Jamestown Tennessee.  They are needing our help due to Double Hardships.

Bobby was diagnosed with AFib and needed emergency open heart surgery.  Then, within a few months of each other, Darlene was diagnosed with a Brain Aneurysm and a fifty percent survival rate.

They have undergone surgeries in out of town hospitals and each stayed for weeks. They are now facing mounting bills and their medical insurance will end in November of this year.

April 1st 2017, Bobby had heart palpitations and trouble breathing. He was treated at Jamestown Medical Center‘s ER and later transferred by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center Turkey Creek in Knoxville Tennessee Hospital. Doctors replaced 2 heart valves and preformed open heart surgery. He was in Intensive care for 3 weeks. He's had to have his heart shocked numerous times for his AFib.  Bobby has made numerous trips to Knoxville Hospital and to Dr Appointments.

Darlene took a family leave with no pay to care for her husband till she went back to work on May 27th 2017.  Bobby did not return to work until July 2017.  Bobby works at a sawmill at  Baldwin Lumber Yard and is only able to work 2 to 4 hrs a day due to his health…He’s had to leave work a few times to go to ER due to his heart condition and AFib.

August 27th 2017, Darlene was at work as a Paramedic and on a call to pick up a patient, while on call Darlene took ill. She became blind with a severe a headache.  She was treated by her coworker before taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center Jamestown Tennessee ER,  (by the same ambulance that was picking up the patient.)  From here, she was airlifted to University Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville Tennessee.

Darlene had brain surgery to relieve pressure on her brain from the bleed…Hours after 1st surgery, she had a 2nd surgery to repair her brain aneurysm…Darlene’s sight came back as pressure was relieved from her brain.. Bobby stayed by Darlene's side for 2 weeks before going back to work.  Then, he was only able to work a few hours a day.

Darlene spent almost 3 weeks in ICU before going home.  Darlene has been traveling 100 miles from home to Knoxville TN to doctor appointments for ongoing testing to see how she is progressing.  She will also be evaluated to determine when she will be able to return to work.

Darlene had been working 2 full time jobs, 12 hour days. 1st one is at Fentress County Ambulance Service and 2nd one is at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown Tennessee.

Doctor told Darlene this past week, he will reevaluate her in 3 months, perform another cat scan and perform a cognitive testing that would show them if her brain is healed enough and  her critical thinking skills is where it needs to be to be able to work in the emergency room,  as a paramedic and driving the ambulance.

They have exhausted all their savings and credit cards due to this double hardship.  Darlene was told she will lose her medical insurance in November 2017; she carried medical insurance on both of them. .All of the monetary donations will go directly to their bank account at US Bank Jamestown TN and will go towards their medical costs, prescriptions, doctors, traveling expenses for out of town doctor appointments.

They have opened their home and hearts for others in time of need and now need your help

The donations from family and friends will help relieve some of the financial burden and pressures they are having.  Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
