Hello everyone. My name is Bobbie. I don’t feel right doing this, but I don’t know where else to turn.

My mother lives in a trailer next to our property, and she recently went to visit her brother in the mountains for a couple of weeks. When she came home, she found what we call a pure nightmare. Something happened to her hot water heater, and it felt like it was 500 degrees, and EVERYTHING was covered in mold/mildew. She’s almost 70 years old with heart and respiratory issues and only receives SS less than $750 a month. With her water heater possibly running for 2 weeks we don’t even know what her water bill is going to look like being she is on a TIGHT budget. She doesn’t have any options, and we don’t know what to do.

The home needs mold/mildew cleaning, ceiling and wall repairs, and several soft spots in the flooring and probably a new water heater and ac unit. The air conditioner fan will turn on but cold air won’t turn on. You can imagine the stress this is causing her as well as all of us around her. It Pretty much needs a whole makeover. On top of all of that, all the furniture needs to be replaced due to the damage. She is one of those people that would give you the shirt off her back, and we just keep saying, “everything happens for a reason, and God has a plan.” I just wish we knew a snippet of this plan because it seems impossible.
