Bobbie's Fight: From Pain to Healing
Donation protected
Meet Bobbie the German Shepherd mix puppy survivor. Bobbie came into my life on November 29, 2024. Bobbie was rescued from their previous "home" with a piece of human being that had no need to have such a beautiful puppy in their care. Bobbie, endured pain at the hands of this piece of a human being. Bobbie was rescued by one of my dear friends who witnessed a despicable act against Bobbie. The picture you see in the cover was one of the pictures my friend sent and I immediately said yes I would take him. Bobbie was dropped off to me and I immediately called my vet to secure an appointment to have Bobbie checked. The receptionist advised they were pretty booked for the day, however I told them the story of how I came to have Bobbie. Bobbie was being choked, pummeled on the face and snout and couldn't put any weight on his right hind leg. The receptionist was able to secure Bobbie an emergency vet visit and asked for his name. At the time I had no name for him and they said they were going to put emergency vet visit for Puppy. Once I arrived to the vet and after many phone calls and text messages with family and friends, Puppy transformed into Bobbie. Bobbie was diagnosed with a broken right femur rotator, hepatitis, liver inflammation, under weight, missing baby canine tooth, between the age of 4-5 months old and malnourishment. Bobbie is scheduled to have his surgery this coming Monday December 2, 2024 at 12 pm to fix his broken femur. The doctor advised that they would need to insert 3 metal rods to fix his femur. The doctor also advised that he will only know if Bobbie's leg will be saved only once they are in there. It is possible Bobbie will loose his leg. Bobbie was prescribed pain medication, antibiotics, vitamins and a special meal diet for liver care. I never imagined having another dog after my own dog, Quinn, passed away on December 8, 2023. I always say the world and our lives work in mysterious ways and Bobbie has come into my life for the better of both of our lives. Any support that comes Bobbie’s way will be used for his surgery and aftercare. Thank you for taking your time to read Bobbie’s story and keep coming back for updates on his recovery and resilience.
