Dear Friends and Community,
Thank you for taking the time to read this story.
On July 24th, an unexpected explosion occurred in Bob Nelson's Holliston home, leaving him and his friend with severe burns, requiring them to be airlifted to Boston Trauma and Burn ICUs. Thanks to the quick response of our community’s incredible first responders and caring neighbors their lives were saved.
The journey to recovery has been a challenging one for Bob, Loretta, and their family. While the initial outpouring of gift cards, meals, and prayers provided vital support, they now face further challenges and need our extended help.
Bob, who recently faced job loss and lacks disability insurance, is embarking on a long road of rehabilitation and multiple surgeries. His ability to find and return to work is several months away, underscoring the financial strain they're enduring. Loretta, a dedicated NWH RN, has put her career on hold to care for her husband and manage the upheaval caused by the explosion, including finding new housing amidst the challenges.
We're kindly requesting your assistance for this remarkable family. Your contribution, regardless of size, will make a meaningful impact. Every dollar goes directly to Bob, Loretta, and their family, providing them with the stability they urgently need. 100% of your generous donations will go to unexpected costs like temporary housing, food, ongoing medical expenses, and lost wages.
Thank you for your compassion and support. Your caring spirit reflects the strength of our community.
With gratitude,
NWH Friends
