Bob Lee's Ride to Recovery

THE STORY
On September 17 2021—Bob, his Step-Dad, brothers, nephew, and friend were on the second day of a five day motorcycle ride. Shortly after their lunch stop is when the accident happened. They were in such a remote area before the BearTooth Mountains that they were unable to call for help.
Thankfully, another motorcyclist shortly behind them was a Neurologist Doctor who stopped and checked Bob. Another group in an ATV came up too, they went back to their cabin nearby to call the volunteer fire fighters they knew in the area out to the scene. Luckily, with the fire fighters radio the Doctor was able to call for life flight. Bob was checked out by an ambulance crew when it arrived, hooked to a ventilator and sedated for life flight.
Bob was not wearing his helmet and sustained many injuries, including a large skull fracture on left side of the head, a subarachnoid bleed (in the layers of the brain), large Left scalp hematoma, a contusion in the left temporal lobe of the brain, 7 right rib fractures (#2-8), punctured right lung, right scapula fracture, and right clavicle fracture.
Bob was flown to St Vincent's Hospital in Billings Montana where he has remained in ICU. Since he was admitted Bob has essentially been in a medically induced coma. It's been different levels of sedation that the Doctors and nursing staff have been monitoring to see how he responds, and adjusting as needed. He has also been hooked to a ventilator the entire time.
Bob is facing a very long recovery, though we do not know what that will look like until he wakes up and can be evaluated by Rehab doctors. Currently we are looking to move Bob from St. Vincent's ICU to a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC). Even with Medical Insurance, the medical and travel expenses are adding up as we are from Idaho and traveling 9.5 hours to Billings Montana. Additionally the Air ambulance that is needed to transport Bob to the LTAC hospital is not covered by Insurance, and that alone costs thousands of dollars. We appreciate any and all help and Prayers.
