Bob is looking for a kidney, but we want to also raise Money for his personal cause to continue once he receives his Kidney. All donations will go towards helping others who are also suffering.
Bob started working with security systems since he was 17. Eventually he was able to start his own company about 35 years ago. The company offers burglar and fire alarm systems as well as closed circuit TV.
The security business has had numerous customers reach out over the years stating if it weren’t for the system provided, they could have lost property and or lives. Bob also worked close with police departments. He served on the board of directors of the Long Island Alarm Association. After 9\11 Bob personally helped design the security systems for the FBI and CIA buildings in downtown Manhattan.
He started playing music when he was 9 years old. Bob first started playing drums then went on to some piano before focusing on guitar and bass. He has played in many bands over the years and still play today when he can with friends hes known since a child. Bob's passion is playing in front of people. He loves to make people feel good…smile and forget about life for a while.
Bob has keep many friends over the years and feels very fortunate to have so many lifelong friends. Some he has even known since 5 years old.
Bob has been relatively healthy all his life up to a few years ago. They discovered he had high blood pressure which in turn began affecting his kidney functions. There is also speculation his declining kidney function could have been caused by some medication he was prescribed 20 years ago for heart burn. There is currently a class action law suit against the heart burn medication company.
Through all this medical aliment, Bob's company has suffered as it is hard to keep it operational while he is feeling this way.
The past year bob started getting more affected by his failing kidneys and was told by doctors he would have to go on dialysis or die. Today, Bob is on dialysis, and it consumes most of his day. In addition it’s been very painful for him. The doctors are working on options now to try and minimize the pain.
Some of the activities Bob enjoys, but is not able to do right now are golf, tennis, skiing, pool and of course music.
A new kidney would allow bob to continue to do the activities hes passionate about and enjoy his quality of life.
