Bob Benavidez Memorial Fund

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Benavidez Jr. Bob was a very fun, outgoing, loving and caring individual. He was a friend, a brother, a son, and loving husband to his wife Julie Benavidez. As many of you may know, Bobs’ lust for life stretched far beyond his love of sports. Bob was the type of guy who could sit in a room full of random people and by the end of the day make a set of life-long friends. He was the greatest friend you could ever possibly want; the type of friend who would literally give you the shirt off his back if needed. One of Bobs’ key phrases was always “Family and Friends, Friends and Family” and that is something he always lived by. He made every single person feel as if they were a part of his family no matter who it was. He touched and affected people from every walk of life no matter how big of the generational gap. His love for sports was tremendous and full of passion. If you heard the cry “Raiders Homeboy” you knew Bob was nearby.

Bob was always a fighter up till the very end. He fought like a Rough Rider and a Trojan. Bob was admitted to the hospital on Friday, August 31st after having complications. During his time in the hospital he was able to keep a positive spirit and upbeat attitude. Bob gave it the best fight anybody could’ve given in his situation. Unfortunately, Robert “Bob” Benavidez Jr. succumbed to his ailment on Monday September 17, 2018 at 9:54pm.

We ask you with humble hearts if you would kindly donate to his celebration of life. All proceeds will go to his wife Julie to help her with medical bills, funeral services, and any other unforeseen cost. We appreciate all of you and give thanks for all your support and well wishes.
