Sawyer's Perineal Hernia Surgery

Donation protected
Sawyer is a 4-5 year old male Weimaraner that arrived into our rescue from Kansas.  He was found as a stray and the local shelter never located his owner.  Sawyer suffers from bilateral perineal hernias, which are causing large swelling around his anus.  In addition he suffers from constipation and lethargy.
He requires surgery to live a normal life, and the surgery is $2500.  He will undergo surgery by a specialized surgeon on July 29th (this was the soonest he could get in.)  At his visit today we had a vet bill of $300 for dewormer, flea treatment, bloodwork (pre-surgical), and a heartworm test.

If 280 people donated $10 we would raise the funds to cover Sawyer's veterinary care.

Sawyer is an amazingly sweet dog!  He gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys being a part of a family.  He is looking for his forever home.

We are Mile High Weimaraner Rescue: an all-volunteer, nonprofit dog rescue located in Denver, Colorado.  We have no facility and rely on foster homes and doggie daycares for housing the dogs in our rescue.  We have no paid volunteers.  We place about 200 Weims (and Weim mixes) a year into loving, approved homes.  We are often called upon to help dogs that would otherwise be euthanized.
