Costa Rica: class trip

In January 2015 I will be taking a class called Special Topics: Holistic OVC Care in an International Context. A few of the objectives of the class/trip are: to understand risk and protective factors as they relate to child development and vulnerability; to acuire introductory knowledge of the international frameworks that should guide work with orphans and vulnerable children (OVC); examining how economic, social, and cultural factors influence children and youth and the problems they face, and policy/program interventions. I am so excited for this opportunity to travel to Costa Rica and visit another country! However, not only am I looking forward to the class experience, but also will enjoy sharing the love of Christ to the persons we come in contact with. The class invovles a trip to Costa Rica from January 3rd-January 26th. The trip cost includes airfare, airport taxes, housing and meals for three weeks, translator, in-country transportation, and excursions/adventures. 

I am asking not only for financial support (if you so choose), but also prayer for my team, which include 12 other students and 2 professors.
