What I am Raising Money For
This fundraiser is mainly to finance the purchase for a Leica M system, my dream camera ever since I first forayed into photography nearly 6 years ago.

What I Plan to Do
I plan to travel all over the world to experience the vast amounts of different cultures, food, architecture, people, and activities this planet has to offer, and this camera will help me document all those experiences so that I may help spread the knowledge of all the different aspects of humanity.
To be able to inspire people to experience travel and all the different knowledge there is out there is one of the reasons I picked up photography in the first place. I want people to say "wow...let's go there" when they look at the photographs. The best way to learn about the Earth is to go out and explore it, not read about it on the internet.

My History
I was born as the first generation Asian American from Houston TX. From an early age I was pushed towards trying to achieve academic success by my parents but instead, I found a love for the arts. I loved to draw, listen to music, watch movies, and make silly videos on my father's old DV camera.
In the midst of my Junior year in High School, I fell into an intense love for photography and that led to a job as a photographer for my high school's yearbook. Eventually I applied to New York University and to my surprise, I got accepted into one of the nation's most selective photography programs at the Tisch School of the Arts.
Through the incredible community NYU has provided, I eventually found my love for film through working on a graduate film set. That led to me discovering my innate love for cinematography and film.
In November of this year, I traveled to Abu Dhabi to be the cinematographer for an undergraduate thesis film shoot. Part of the money will be going to the director for that shoot, who has paid a huge amount of time and money to achieve his goal.
