Saving Lives one at a time

My Name is Megan Driver. I am an animal lover. I have a very strong passion to save animals. I feel that these animals do not have a voice. Therefore, I am their voice. I rescue many animals from the sourrounding areas of Victoria. Sometimes that means I pull them from a shelter before they get put to sleep. I like to pull the animals that most people do not think are "Cute" or "adoptable." I work with many rescues around the United States. If I pull from a shelter and a rescue is willing to take the animal I have to get the animal vetted, and transported. To transport across state lines there are many things that are required. The animals are required to have a health certificate, rabies shot, checked for uncontagious deseases, and appropriate shots for the animal's age. Of Course, all of these thigns cost a pretty good amount of money. Transports to rescues out of states can go any where from $75.00 per animal to $125.00 per animal or even $150.00 per animal. I raise the money from donations and some out of my pocket. I am constatnly asking for donations and sponsarships from people for the animals I save per it can get expensive. With out transporting and relocating these animals, they would die. South Texas has a very large problem with over population and over breeding, that the shelters are unable to keep up. In order for the shelters to "Keep up" they have to "make room," which is when the animals get put to sleep. On top of the transport fees, there are vetting fees, and housing fees(food, toys, beds). Vetting consists of: Health Cert, Shots, and some time animals that I take in are malnourished so they have to stay over night at the vet for IV's. Each animal has a differant story. I try to keep the people updated that donate to an animal. I like the people that help to know where their help is going towards. Donations, sharing, word of mouth, fostering and prayers are what I ask for. If anyone is able to give any or all four I am grateful. With out the help I would not be able to save as many lives as I do. Even if a person donated $5, or even $1, it adds up. I have very many stories and updates from animals I have pulled to where they are now. I know we can't save them all.... But at the end of the day knowing we saved a single life, that is what I live for..
This Go Fund Me is for all of the rescues I do. Each week there is a new story, a new life to be saved. This is just the easiest way to have this availble for people to donate.
