On September 2014, Karen and Archie Lemon received news that would change their lives forever. Karen was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She and Archie bravely faced the hundreds of doctor visits that stood in their way. Unfortunately, on Friday, March 18, Karen received news that the cancer had spread to other areas of her body. She and Archie will continue to fight with their faith front and center.
Karen is a beloved wife, a dedicated mother of two and grandmother of three. "Honey", as her family calls her is a woman of faith. She selflessly taught at Conway Christian School for many years where she educated children and led them to God. She touches the lives of all that know her with her caring smile.
Archie is a friend to all who know him in the Myrtle Beach golf community. He has been a member of the PGA for 30 years. He is a past president of the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association and has held many positions in the Myrtle Beach area. He was General Manager at Legends Resort, Director of Golf Operations for Burroughs and Chapin and General Manager at Tidewater Golf Club.
Karen and Archie need your prayers but more importantly need your help. Currently, Archie has taken on a full time role supporting Karen in her fight. Mounting medical charges face them as they turn to new ways to defeat this horrible disease. They have always given so much to us. Now we can give back to them.
