Hello all!
This is a page dedicated to helping a great young man fund his way to one of the biggest opportunities a Drum Major can take in their lifetime.
Joseph Mathias, the Head Drum Major of the Mission Oak Marching Band, has been invited to take part in the London New Year's Day Parade with the United Spirit Association. This is a 6 day trip to London, England to march through the streets of merry ol' England to ring in the new year.
Joseph has served his community in many ways. He represented the Marching Band at functions such as playing in the Veteran's and Christmas Parade, the National Alzheimer's Awareness Day Celebration, and Festas Parades for the TDES Hall in Tulare. He has also represented the Mission Oak SOPAS Club as an Officer and Dance Caller. He recently went with the Portuguese IV/V Honors Class to perform in Sacramento,CA.
Our goal is to reach $5000 to cover the cost of Joseph's airfare, lodging, meals, uniform and entry into the parade as well as the cost of his chaperone escort.
Any support would be greatly appreciated and we thank you for anything you've done to help Joseph in this journey.
