Help for Granny

Donation protected
I'm starting this GoFundMe for my grandmother,  Sandy. Shes 74 years old, living alone in Moundsville, West Virginia.  Please bare with me, I don't understand every detail - mainly because its incomprehensible. Over the course of several phone calls a "very nice man" convinced my grandmother that he worked for the Social Security Administration. She was told her social security number was used in a money laundering scheme in Texas and she had to repay the $7,000 to avoid arrest. My grandmother proceeded to make withdrawals from her account at BB&T and purchased 19 different Target gift cards with the money. Like clockwork the man would call my grandmother and she would read off the numbers on the back of the gift cards. My grandmother is not one to be easily manipulated which makes this so hard for me to wrap my mind around. Shes afraid to make online purchases or call QVC for fear of fraud and identity theft. This speaks volumes to how cunning and manipulative these people can be. She was operating on fear and fear alone. They target who they do for a reason, no pun intended. My family doesnt have much, but for my grandmother it was all she had. My mother and I will do what we can, but anything helps. I understand times are hard for everyone. Even if you cant donate, please share to make other people aware. The Social Security Administration will never ask for information or request $7,000 of Target gift cards.   Thank you.
