This is my fierce buddy Treyvon.
In 2017 he was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis. HLH is a life threatening condition in which the immune system begins to damage the patient's own tissues and organs, including the liver, brain, and bone marrow where blood is made. This awful disease is most commonly seen in pediatrics. Treyvon had received a bone marrow transplant but it was unsuccessful. A successful transplant is critical to his recovery. He recently underwent a second transplant, he's hanging in there, some days are tough, but Treyvon is too!
Treyvon is a gracious, thoughtful, kind hearted, and VERY brave kid. He never complains, keeps his chin up, and loves his mom who is always by his side.
On Saturday, September 15, Bear Mountain CrossFit will host our 5th annual Going Gold for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Event. We will be raising funds for Treyvon as we take on the workout Hope. The first heat kicks off at 8am, please join us or come cheer us on, and please consider a donation, no amount is too small.
