Blythedale Children’s Hospital offers a specialty outpatient Day Hospital Program for children who are able to live at home but still require a level of medical and/or rehabilitative care that cannot be met by their school or a community outpatient program. Children admitted to the Program receive daily medical supervision and nursing care, comprehensive rehabilitation services (physical, occupational, speech, and/or feeding therapy) as ordered through the program physician, and education through the Mt. Pleasant Blythedale Union Free School District (USFD). Like most hospitals, Blythedale is still recovering financially from the enormous toll of the pandemic. COVID-19 forced them to adjust to changing mandates, declining insurance reimbursements, increasing expenses, and the growing needs of their patients. Donors like you make all the difference. You help fund the therapists, clinicians, nurses, and other specialists who work together to support their medically complex patients. Blythedale refuses to shortchange their kids and your help is what makes that possible.
The goal at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is to make all children healthy and happy. Every day, the dedicated staff of physicians, nurses, allied health practitioners, technicians, and others helps us to attain that goal by providing advanced life-saving care to thousands of children in the Hudson Valley region. The mission is to set the standard for family-centered, compassionate care in a state-of-the-art environment that attracts outstanding physicians and staff, and which promotes healing, wellness, and knowledge for all children and their families. They are advocates for children's health and wellness and actively promote health education and activities within the hospital and the community at large.
