Those that have visited BLVD Karaoke in the past know that music is their passion but serving their community is an even bigger one. Owners, Benny & Anica Rivera had a vision of bringing everyone from all walks of life together in one space, to do one thing, SING! They believed in this vision so much so, they invested their life savings.
With 3 small children they understood the risk they were taking but their faith pushed them forward. Realizing there was a void, they chose Bridgeport to open Connecticut first “True” Karaoke Bar. Benny left his career in retail management and began making their dreams come true.
After 8 months of construction, the day finally came! On April 13th 2019, BLVD Karaoke’s doors were open to the public. They couldn’t believe the amount of support and love they received from the community. They now hope to rely on that same love and support during these difficult times.
The BLVD Karaoke COVID-19 Fundraiser has been established to help with back rent, utilities, payroll, etc. that have been adding up since this pandemic started. Unfortunately, they did not qualify for an SBA loan nor the PPP Loan.
“We understand this pandemic has effected EVERYONE in one way or another. However, every little bit helps us get one step closer. We can’t wait to get back to what we do best, and that’s providing a top notch Karaoke experience like no other.
