Every year Blue Rust Projects run a Volunteer Program in Nepal and after seeing how life changing it was for 17 yr old Abbey from Sale, we are inspired to sponsor a young Gippslander to travel with us and be a part of this amazing life experience.
Our projects are rural assistance programs centred around health and education and improving the lives of these beautiful village communities with a consideration for growth and sustainability.
Raising funds for the projects and youth sponsorship is our aim for this GoFundMe campaign. 100% of your donation goes directly to where it is needed....the villages.
Our next project will be returning to the Lamjung and Dhading districts to continue our projects with Women's Health programs, supplying computer education to teachers, and an agricultural program supplying and planting a community cash crop of cardamom with a sustainable production target of 20 years.
We will undertake a livestock breeding program and also aim to assist in providing support to schools with sporting programs which have proven to improve the attendance rate and therefore academic levels. We are also excited to be planning for assisting in the building of a hostel for student accommodation for remote students.
And we would love to help shape a beautiful young person's direction in life by funding them to join our small group of volunteers on our journey to help the amazing people of Nepal.
We experience village life as it truly is and meeting the people of Nepal truly is a life changing moment no matter at what age you are.
It seems we start out to help the villagers but I often wonder if it is us that has received the help! And the overwhelming appreciation from the villagers is humbling and heartwarming.
