Bluebonnet Select 7s Team

The Bluebonnet Select 7s Rugby team is a hand picked team from 40 eligible rugby players from around Texas and Oklahoma. These players are dedicated to playing at the highest level and have hopes of competing at the USA National 7s Championships where USA Olympic scouts will be selecting the next Olympian.
The team will travel to three Qualifying tournaments within the Red River Conference throughout the summer. These tournaments are located in Austin, TX, Tulsa, OK and Houston, TX. At each tournament the team will earn points and the team who has the most points will advance to the National Championships.
We are asking local businesses and fans to please consider becoming a Bluebonnet Select 7s Rugby team sponsor to help defray the costs from the team and each individual player. This is the team’s inaugural season, so players are having to front all the expenses themselves. Expenses not covered by fundraising efforts, will be divided among the players. Some of the costs include tournament entry fees, medial supplies, team uniforms, flights for Nationals, hotels, rental cars/gas, etc.
