GOAL: Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree: 120 units at $300.00 a unit for a total of $36,000.00.
Petty Officer Third Class McBride (FMF Corpsman) is a Purple Heart recipient who was injured in Afghanistan by a mortar on October 16, 2008. Member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. 
Thomas served as a FMF Corpsman with the Embedded Training Team 5-3 as a Combat Advisor for the Afghan National Army 2007-2008. He now lives with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Embedded Shrapnel, and a Right Below the Knee Amputation, and Chronic Pain. Thomas was initially rated 40% disability from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Thomas went through rough times between years 2012 - 2016.

Thomas used his Post-9/11 GI BILL to help pay for his Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Law studies from National University. Thomas is currently enrolled in Law School in order to take and pass the California Bar Exam.
This Campaign's Goal may look high, but if everyone reading this message were to donate $5, WE WOULD REACH the goal together and swiftly! 
No need for deep-pockets when people come together for a focused and honorable cause. The problem with Thomas' position: he's depleated his 9/11 GI BILL and most Grants & Scholarships offered do not cover Juris Doctorate Degrees. Thomas holds a second-year law student's knowledge of the law.
Although when people think of a lawyer, they think about 'money.' For Thomas, money is just a tool and not the most important one.
