<div>Hi family and friends. I am devastated to be writing this, but my boy Blue needs our help. Yesterday, I noticed a few symptoms and took him to the vet. He was soon diagnosed with a potentially life threatening disorder called IMHA.

<div>Essentially, it is a disorder that causes the body to attack its own red blood cells. As his RBC levels continued to drop, I made the tough and costly decision to admit him to the hospital. They have started with steroid injections and a blood transfusion, but we have a long road ahead (if we can get there).

<div>The prognosis is confusing to say the least, it can be caused by multiple different things and his odds continue to fluctuate. There is a possibility that he will continue to attack his RBCs, even with transfusions, but his best shot is staying at the AMC medical center and getting the amazing care there.
