The US Vet Connect.org Golden Expedition 2023 was designed to provide funding for our programs thru 2026 and beyond, ensuring our independence and the quality of our programs.
Hello, Thank you for your interest in the US Vet Connect.org "Blood Sweat and Gold" Expedition, a six-month-long search for the largest gold nugget ever found in America. We need your help to fund the hi-tech expedition gear needed to make this expedition a success. On December 1st, 2023, we will hold a live donor appreciation drawing, and all the primary hi-tech gear will be given away, crated, and shipped free.
All proceeds raised during this Go Fund Me campaign will go directly to funding the expedition gear, supplies, travel, pack-in, and pack-out labor.
All proceeds from gold found during the 2023 expedition will be used to create an endowment fund to ensure the future of US Vet Connect Inc and complete the development of our Direct Disaster Relief System.
US Vet Connect Inc was founded in 2020 by Michelle Skipper and Theresa Walters in honor of their father's passing, Michael (Big Mike) Walters. Big Mike was one hell of a man, a Navy veteran, a devoted father of four, and an avid outdoorsman.
We now produce US VET CONNECT.com, America's largest free outdoor resource hub for veterans. Providing outdoor activity, camaraderie, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
US VET CONNECT is also proud to produce
- "The Can the Curb Food Drive System", developed by our operations team as a contact-free food donation system that feed thousands during the lockdowns and continues to feed families today.
- The Marshall County, Ky chapter of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, giving the gift of reading to pre-k children in our local community and military families around the world.
- (In Development) "The Direct Disaster Relief System", a web-based program that will revolutionize natural disaster donations.
Our current team has been together for over twelve years. Together we have hiked large portions of the Pacific trail, taking thousands of radiation readings after the Fukushima Nuclear disaster in Japan. We have hiked and paddled the Gulf coast from High Island to South Padre Island, TX, after the BP Oil spill. Our latest expedition was a float trip down the Mighty Mississippi River.
I became an obsessed treasure hunter the first time my papa took me arrowhead hunting when I was nine years old. Although I didn't find a single point, I was hooked and have spent a great deal of time searching and exploring over the past forty-five years. Like most people with the gold bug, I started with a shovel and a gold pan. Now we use portable solar power stations, hi-tech ground scanners, metal detectors, battery-powered scuba systems, and long-range electric bikes, pairing tradition with technology.
