Friends of Blondie the Riverbend Horse

Blondie the Riverbend horse is the inspiration for this nonprofit movement that exists to provide hope, support, and encouragement to people living with cancer and other long term illnesses. To some she is just a horse, but to us she is a sign of hope.
The base funds we are seeking will be used to purchase 6 new iPads, wireless headphones, and cases for cancer patients to check out during treatment days. Also, to purchase gas cards and for lodging expenses for patients traveling from outside Lane County Oregon receiving cancer treatment and families of patients with life threatening illnesses. We want to provide patients with grocery store gift cards as well to help with food expenses. We would like to do a monthly giveaway at Sacred Heart Riverbend, Willamette Valley Cancer Institute, and the new Ronald McDonald House at Riverbend for our focus group patients consisting of Blondie tee shirts, hoodies, tote bags, color books, etc. We’d also like to do things like dental hygiene bags for the cancer center, prayer/hope squares, Seeds of Hope (flower seeds), little things that mean so much. We need startup money to purchase/manufacture our merchandise for our fundraisers, we need accounting software, also a great need to get our Web page fully developed, we want to build a new shelter for our beloved horse Blondie and meet her annual veterinary needs. We have so many needs and so little money.
