Bloison’s Dad’s medical expenses

Bloison Lawee is an exceptional student at Canterbury School. He not only excels academically but actively participates in the community. He participated in speech and debate, track, film club, and made the semiformal video two years in a row. What most people don't know is that despite his kind and humorous demeanor, he has taken immense responsibilities at home. A few years ago his dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and had to start treatment immediately. While his dad struggled through his disease, Bloison helped take care of his mom, Mary Chan Lawee, and his two younger sisters. He and his mom worked long hours to support their family; Bloison doing this all while managing a difficult course load with strong grades. Recently, during the COVID outbreak, his mom lost her job temporarily and Bloison was the sole supporter of his family for several months and about a month ago, a driver blew a red light and totaled Bloison's car. He is currently struggling with the insurance companies to get the money he deserves, filling out dozens of forms by himself. In spite of his troubles with insurance, his main focus is on caring for his dad, who’s recent decline required Bloison to quit his job in so that he can stay home and take care of him. All the while Bloison still has to deal with the stress of applying to colleges and keeping up with his school work the best that he can. His family has dealt with tragedy on a scale that no one can truly understand and this money will give them a little peace of mind and help give them breathing room while they work to make ends meet. The beneficiary of this campaign is listed as Melissa George. She is my mother and will be taking care of transferring the money to Bloison and his family, since Bloison is only a teenager and he and his whole family were dealing lots of stress and planning related to his father’s treatment as well as, after his passing, his father’s funeral.
