Blocktoberfest Homebrew Benefit

Party, my place, October 19th, from 3PM until dark. Why? To raise money for VoiceofSanDiego.org and drink my summer of beers. Keep reading....


Well here they are. 60 bottles of delightful beer, hand-crafted in my first summer of homebrewing. I want some help drinking them BUT on one condition. I only give bottles of homebrew to friends who donate to Voice of San Diego. So here's your chance to become a member, support world-class investigative journalism in our city, AND drink with friends who share the same vision of the world.

Some details about the event. It will be located at my house. So we're capping attendance to about 60 people. If you're coming with a spouse or friend, please BOTH purchase tickets. No tagalongs since we're feeding everyone and I need an accurate head count. That said, kids are invited. We'll have a bounce-house and maybe even some fun games for them set up too.


There will be a taco cart and more beer. I'm looking for sponsors for those two items - if you have any leads let me know. Otherwise, I'll be paying for them out of pocket, which is fine by me.


Last, I'm asking for email addresses from everyone so that Voice can include you in their member database. Trust me, you want this. You'll get invitation to member events, monthly meetings with the editor and writers, and, occasionally, gifts.
