WHO ARE WE
BlackTransTV is a platform to inform, inspire and uplift all people to be their best selves in particular black and brown people of trans and gender non-conforming experience. Since 2017 we have served as a vital resource to help educate people on the black trans experience. On the daily you can find information that isn't broadcast in major media outlets that pertain to both our black community and our trans experience via our Instagram. We also release a new video every single Wednesday via our Youtube channel discussing topics such as toxic masculinity in the black community, how to build your confidence while being a human of trans experience, the importance of self love/care, top surgery tips, hot topics that circulate within the black community and our take on them and so much more.
WHAT WE DO
BlackTransTV is a channel, a digital media platform for the people by the people housed under our production company Blk Ryl Productions. First and foremost we promote and encourage UNITY. On one level there is this ideology in the black community that the black queer/trans folks are separate and not a part of it. But we use this platform to expose and dismantle that ideology. We know that without black queer/trans folks there is no liberation for all black people. On a larger scale we stand strongly in our mission of human equality. We know that all humans are created equal and should be treated as such.
WHAT WE PLAN TO DO
We plan to help bridge the gap between white queer/trans folk and black/poc queer/trans folks, then outside of our community regardless of their gender, race or sexuality. We are looking to utilize funds to create an annual conference, a monthly podcast and to elevate our Youtube videos to match our content. We'd also like to be able to pull together resources for the community through giveaways, workshops to ensure positive mental, emotional and spiritual shifts and so much more.

We know that we have the tools at the core of our experience to help bring all humans together. This platform is not just about and for black trans people we have messages that can resonate with all humans and we encourage people that are and aren't like us to tune in and dive into our content. Unity is the key to change. Together we can help make the world better.
