<div>Schon seit meiner Kindheit begeistern mich alte Spielkonsolen und Handhelds wie der Super Nintendo, die Playstation 1 oder der klassische GameBoy. Obwohl es heute, im Jahr 2026, "besser" zugängliche Games gibt, die man als blinder von A bis Z durchspielen kann, schlägt mein Herz weiterhin für diese alten Konsolen und deren Spiele. Anhand der Geräusche und Musiken orientiere ich mich in den Spielwelten. Dabei geht es mir nie primär darum, das Spiel auch in vollem Umfang durchzuspielen. Das reine Ausprobieren und Zelebrieren kleiner Spielerfolge, ist für mich dabei schon Belohnung genug.

<div>Auf der diesjährigen "SightCity", der internationalen Hilfsmittel-Fachmesse für blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen, werde ich in Vorträgen und Workshops versuchen, auch andere blinde Gaming-Interessierte von meiner Herangehensweise des Gamings zu begeistern. Vom 27.-29.05. Im Kap Europa in Frankfurt/M zeige ich anderen blinden Menschen, wie Gaming auch ohne speziell programmierte Barrierefreiheitsfunktionen durchaus funktionieren und Spaß machen kann.
