Help a Blind Father of Three

My brother, Peter, is a single dad.  By that, I mean that the mother of his three young children (ages 4, 6, and 9) and her entire family completely abandoned them 3 years ago.  Like being the sole providing parent isn't hard enough, he is legally blind.  This man supports his family of four on SSD.  And its tough.  My sister and I are all the support this family has as our parents have both passed away.

My brother is in desperate need of dental care.  We have an estimate of $16,000 from the dental school.  As a boy, he was hit by a car.  It was a hit and run and the driver was never apprehended.  Apparently, the trauma to my brother's skull created small fractures in his teeth that has caused them to, now later in life, crack, shatter and fall out.  It is painful and I am trying to get him help as soon as I can.  The dentist needs to surgically remove all of what’s left of his teeth and get him new.

UPDATE 10/1!!! This campaign has reached a dentist/oral surgeon that is going to help us!  He is such a kind man and his practice is lovely. Now we are just fundraising for materials!!!  Any amount you can give is helpful, $5, $10, it all goes to this generous dentist.  We are so blessed! 

Two weeks ago I was able to put the $1,313 raised from site toward the materials cost.  The surgery is scheduled for 10/13.

Life has not handed this man the easiest deck of cards, but despite being blind he is determined to be the best dad that he can be.  This dental work will provide him a pain free quality of life and take away at least one of the worries that plague him every day.

Please help me to help him.  He is a good man with a huge heart and loves his children fiercely.
