Blind Faith

Hi everyone,

The photo that you see is my son Evan.  He's a good kid, with a good heart, but unfortunately, he/we are not facing the best of circumstances.  I am a single mom of 3, and although I have a decent job, I still struggle to meet the need of our immediate overhead.  

I have been blessed with Evan because he's not a selfish child who asks for  the latest technology, sneakers or whatever is new and trending that perhaps his friends may be already getting.   He has suffered some terrible losses in his life and he is losing his faith in people, but yet he remains optimistic about his academics. All he wants is to be able to remain in the same school that he has been in for the past 4 years.   Every parent wants the best for their children to see them succeed & to be an upgrade of who they are.  I am trying with all that I am, to keep him in a place that will foster his academic and personal progress.

Evan is in a Lutheran  School, which is similar in structure to a catholic school.  Unfortunately,  because of unfortunate events with us having to make a last minute move last year, and doing our best to start over, and maintain our household, I fell behind on his school payments.  Long story short, between that and carrying over the balance from last year along with his tuition this year, I won't be able to send him back.  I have not had the heart to tell him that I failed.  That no matter how hard I tried,  or how many hours that I've worked, I still don't have the resources to catch everything up and still make pay his monthly tuition.  

Yesterday, when going to a funeral of the man who raised me, my heart was burdened with this and the thought of telling my son (since it was the deadline that I had given myself of letting him know) that he would not be able to return to the school that he has blossomed so much in.  However, it was after praying & reading the bible, that God touched my heart with the thought about blind faith & it taking a village to raise a child.  The conversation sort of went like this:  I can't do this, but no one is just going to loan me or give me so large an amount. Soon that was drowned out & was overpowered by: do you have faith? Yes!  "Then there is no room for pride when it comes to faith or love, and my children are larger than your burden. If you believe, then do what I have placed in your heart, without hesitation, and know that I am the God who provides."  

So this is me a single mom of three, stepping out of my comfort zone in blind faith, spiritually bare,  waiting for a two week miracle.  Perhaps one person can't or won't, but praying on the village can.  Please help me show Evan that people do care.
