Blind but hopeful

Debbi lived in California with extremely low vision and was at the mercy of the state provided In home aid's that took advantage of her, did not treat her well and neglected her terribly. She lost her home and everything she ever owned. Without sight, she was an easy target to be neglected and manipulated. I have just moved her from California to Pennsylvania in the past 2 weeks and trying to help her get the medical care she needs. Debbi is my sister and suffered stage four endometrial cancer a few years ago. She was given high doses as if steroids to get through the chemo which has now paved the way for severe cataracts. Last year she had end stage renal failure and miraculously has recovered and now off dialysis but sadly she can't see. She's totally blind in her left eye and she has extreme low vision in her right. Debbi has an opportunity to have cataract surgery under her insurance but it costs $6000 above that in order to get a laser surgery treatment to break up the old cataract and the proper type of lenses that she needs. The regular type of surgery could blind her for the rest of her life.

I'm asking for help for my sister because God keeps on giving her chances to live and I think we should try to let her see the best she can.
