Hi, my name is Christian Chavez and I’m a para triathlete and endurance athlete. I was born with no left eye, and low vision in my right eye (20/200). I also have a cataract in my right eye that makes my vision cloudy. The last couple years I’ve gotten involved in endurance sports. I’ve done 7 marathons, 2 ultra marathons, a ruck march, triathlons ,and qualified for US Paratriathlon nationals in my first year in the sport. Being a para athlete is expensive. From coaching fees, travel, lodging, equipment needed for blind athletes, and guide expenses. I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve. I want to represent team USA in Paratriathlon, complete all 7 world major marathons (2/7 so far), climb a 14,000 ft mountain, and show people with or without a disability that the impossible is just really “I’m”possible. This fundraiser is to make my goals a reality, and in turn inspire others to go after theirs. The donations will go towards my travel, lodging, guides, and equipment needed for certain races. I will work hard, I will show up to every training session, I will compete at a high level, and I will accomplish these goals I’ve set for myself. I’m chasing dreams, setting goals, working hard, and in time they will become a reality. Thank you for your support!
