Blewbury School PTA Fundraiser

Dear Blewbury parents, guardians and the wider Blewbury community,

Since lockdown, our fundraising has been on hold and taken a hit. 

During this time, we would have held the Easter Games Night, Summer Disco, Bake Sale, Thrift sale and ColourFest2020, our main fundraising event for the year. We predict to have missed out on over £2500 of vital fundraising money. 

The money we all raise together helps to support the school by providing essential funding to bridge the financial gap most Primary schools face themselves in. Every year we help Blewbury Primary School by paying approximately £6000 to cover the cost of things such as;
printer cartridges, pantomime coaches, subsidised school trips, computer subscriptions, extra funds per class, funds for SEN, computer hardware and leaver hoodies for the year 6 students.
On top of this are the large one-off projects, for example, this year we completed the new climbing frame project, the year before we paid for Chromebooks, before that it was the Biodome. Understandably we are concerned about how the lack of fundraising will affect our ability to support the school in full, in the future. 

 At this stage, we are also unsure of when we will be able to safely hold our fundraising events in person again. Realistically, we doubt it will be before 2021. 

So, please can we appeal to you for your help and continued support? 

A great place to start would be to kindly donate what you or your children would have spent at one or even all of these events, any amount would be greatly appreciated and go towards making a difference. We know these are difficult times for a lot of people, even the smallest amount would help. Perhaps an end of term donation versus a gift.
