On Friday February 7th 2020, a local wedding venue in Central Arkansas suddenly closed for bankruptcy and left Crystal and I, along with many other couples, with no wedding to celebrate our big day. Some of these couples only had hours to find a new place to celebrate. I can only imagine how those couples felt.
Because of the bankruptcy, this has left all the couples after the February 7th date with no venue. Even worse, all the money that were paid for deposits and payments to secure the venue will probably never be seen by the couples again. This leaves a big hole for each couple to have to recoup their money, then look for a new venue with less time, less options, and less money.
So I’m personally starting a GoFundMe page to help out all the couples that were affected by the sudden bankruptcy and closure of this particular venue. All the couples (REGARDLESS OF THEIR RELIGION, LOVE, AND LIFESTYLE) to receive help from all of this possible generosity. I’m working out the details to collect all the information from the couples that were impacted by this and asking them to reach out and send their information and contract details to prove they were impacted to this email address:

This way all the information can be collected and compiled so we know how much affect this in total had on everyone. In speaking to other couples the average loss has been between $3,000 to $7,000. If there was one wedding per week for the next calendar year, that’s a total of $250,000 that will never be seen by these roughly 50 couples.
Generosity can come in any shape or size, big or small. Maybe your generosity is a couple dollars that you can spare. Maybe it’s the cup of coffee you decided to otherwise buy. Maybe its the cost of going on that date and deciding to stay in with the ones close to you for the night. Like I said, generosity and love comes in no predetermined package.
Most importantly I would love to at least get this message out to all the people that we know and all the ones we don’t, all of amazing vendors and other venues that we’ve had contact with on how they that want to assist or help, and everybody in our communities that would at least consider helping out however they feel they can. I have no doubt in my mind that the special day each of us couples had in mind can still be met with the help of others.
