A Blessing For The Hardy Family

I want to start this with a phrase my mom recently reminded me of and that is that God will never bring us into something that we are not strong enough to handle. That's a phrase that I've always believed and I have never needed to believe that more than in this moment. This past week, my family got the very difficult news that on Monday morning my dad, Audie, will be having open heart surgery.

These are the moments no one can ever plan for. These are the moments we never expect to happen. These are the moments we choose to be thankful. Thankful that we caught this before it was too bad. Thankful that his heart is still healthy. Thankful that the doctors can fix his 'faulty wiring'.

After the surgery Monday morning he will have to stay in the hospital for a week. Yes, that means he will be spending Christmas with the amazing staff at Lancaster General Health. When he is discharged he will not be allowed to leave his house for at least 6 to 8 weeks. That means he will be missing 2 months of work. So on top of the already overwhelming stress of the surgery, my mom and dad will have to deal with the stress of normal, everyday bills without my dad's income.

That brings me to this. I'm reaching out to all friends and family and everyone that has ever been impacted by my parents. They need all of us more now than ever. My hope with starting this fundraiser is to relieve some of the financial stress off of them so they can fully concentrate on my dad's recovery. Anything you can give would be an amazing blessing for them during this time.
