Blessings for Madison - Cancer Fund

Madison Daniels is our 6yr old daughter, who was diagnosed in early March 2014 with Ewings Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer.  She has a large tumor in her left leg.  Madison is a very bright, spunky, energetic little "Princess"!  I don't know that she comes in contact with anyone, who she doesn't make smile and who doesn't instantly love her; and I would think it was ok to say that anyone that already knows and loves her, can attest to that!  She just has that affect on those she is around!  She is the only girl out of 8 boys, when it comes to the family grandchildren; and she is very much considered our "Princess Madison"! #princessmadison

We are a small family of 4 ~ Dad: Kurt, Mom: Amy, Son & Older 7yo Broher: Mason, then of course Daughter & Sister: Princess Madison Michelle Daniels! My Husband Kurt and I are born again Christians, and are now going on four years of being spirit filled, believers in Christ!  Having our children changed our lives! Among other things...but we know it was God's plan all along!  And we wouldn't have it any other way!  Our children are raised in church and we attend every service we have, and they are as well a part of their age group ministry classes, and also attend the private Christian school that our church (shout out to Wanchese Assembly of God/Christian Academy) offers. We believe it is important for our children to have the foundation of church and the opportunity to learn about Jesus and God's Word and to be allowed and able to pray in school.  Madison has a ton of Faith and a huge heart for Jesus!  


When Kurt and I were given the news of Madison's cancer, it was one of the hardest things EVER to take in and understand WHY this was happening to our precious little girl.  But we know that our God has plans for Madison and our family.  His word says so in Jeremiah 29:11.  Her cancer has brought on an entire new journey for our family to follow down the path of, and with God on our side, we know that we are going to defeat this battle!  Madison has the strength and faith in Jesus, like no other child I know.  I sometimes find myself feeding off of her, and I am supposed to be the adult (mom) in the situation.  She is an extremely brave little girl!  She has yet to ask us, "WHY"?  Or become really upset at the fact that she is "sick."  I sometimes have to hide my tears from her, so she will not see me cry!  I stay strong for her!  And without God, I don't know that I'd be able to walk this path!  This is going to be a long journey for our family to endure;  but that's just it...it's a "journey".  A new journey that God has had us embark on, and if had he not thought we couldn't handle it, we wouldn't be battling it right now.  

With the amazing support, love, encouragement and PRAYERS from our friends, family and our community;  and by standing on the Promises of God and His Word, we know that one day, we will see this TEST walked out into an awesome TESTIMONY!!  We look forward to that day, when Madison can reveal to the world why she was hand picked and chosen by God, to have cancer and go through this battle...but we know that she is going to!! :)

We have set this page up for support for Madison and our family for her medical expenses, travel expenses, and anything related to such.  She is recieving her chemo treatments at CHKD in Norfolk, VA bi-weekly.  She receives in & out patient chemo treatments.  Her in-patient treatments last anywhere from 3-5 days, and these are the bi-weekly treatments.  She also has at least 2 appointments per week in the Oncology clinic for blood work (blood counts) to be checked (possible transfusions may be needed), chemo out patient treatment bi-weekly, and then there is always the possibility of the event of emergency visits, due to her very weakened immune system. 

We also have a medical expense account set up at Vantage South Bank (locations throughout NE/SEast NC) for anyone interested in donating, who would prefer to donate by cash or check.  The account is in the name of Amy & Kurt-FBO Madison-Daniels/Health Expenses.  Our family is SO grateful for all that others have done, and continue to do, to help our family!  We are overwhelmed with the show of love and could never express our deepest gratitude to everyone!  It is a true blessing to us, and each of you funding our family, for Madison, is planting a seed and"š you will be blessed in return!
