Ro, Mel and their beautiful boy, Beno are the Maxwell family. In April this year, at 6 months old they were faced with the most unimaginable reality, when Beno was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer. Instead of enjoying the simple pleasures of family life, watching their little boy grow and thrive at home, they have spent the last 4 months in and out of the Royal Children’s Hospital while he undergoes extensive chemotherapy.
Beno brings so much joy and smiles to everyone he meets. He is a cheeky 10 month old, who is into everything; curious and playful, he is always climbing cupboards and pulling washing off the drying rack!
Mel and Ro are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. Beno hit the jackpot when he was born to these two! The unconditional love, selflessness, strength, courage and fearless determination to fight with so much positivity for Beno are nothing short of remarkable. In addition to this they still continue to show so much kindness and love to those around them in the hospital and in their lives.
Please help us ease the burden for this beautiful and loving family so they can continue to put all their energy and effort into Beno while they fight this battle.
To raise further awareness of Beno’s fight and to show my support for his family, some friends and I will be hiking 42km from Point Impossible to the Split Point Lighthouse at Airey’s Inlet in spring this year. A date for this walk will be confirmed shortly.
In addition to any donations we ask you to surround Beno with positive energy and love. We all wish to support him to continue his pathway towards an incredible life, filled with good health, love, happiness and many crazy, wonder-filled adventures.
