Helping Tonya & Patty with Covid Expenses

This fundraiser is for my friends, Patty & Tonya Workman. They are some of the most loving and giving people I know. They have definitely had a rough end of 2020 & start to their 2021...

Right Before Christmas they had been exposed to Covid & were quarantined for 2 weeks. Directly after their quarantine ended, they were exposed again and both contracted Covid-19.

Patty has had many health issues- kidney failure, heart disease, diabetes among other things. Covid has been hard on her. Last week, Patty had to be hospitalized for an extended amount of time due to breathing issues due to Covid and also pneumonia. Then she was transferred to another hospital for kidney dialysis and released. This week she yet again had to go back to the hospital for breathing issues and was given oxygen that she must wear at home.

The day after Patty got home, Tonya had to call for emergency help because she could not breath and was hospitalized for an extended time. They ran tests and found she also had Pneumonia and kept her on oxygen the entire time of her stay. Being home now, she is still unable to do much without her O2 levels dropping.

Tonya loves children and runs a daycare out of her home. For almost a month now, she has been unable to have children in their home with being quarantined, then having Covid, being hospitalized and now trying to regain strength & heal. She is missing her kids so much and cannot wait to have them back!

This has caused a very big strain on them financially. Not only do they have their normal bills (rent, phone, car payments, Patty’s past medical bills) piling up, they also have ambulance bills, hospital bills and medication bills to deal with.

Dealing with being this sick and trying to heal is burden enough, but worrying about the money to cover all the bills that are adding up is very hard.

The reason I am making this GoFundMe is because I love my friends and I want to help in their biggest time of need. I have been in situations where I felt like I was in desperate need, (I’m sure we all have been there) and people helped me! I just want to be a blessing to them and help in some small way. I pray that God would bring healing, wholeness and peace of mind to Patty & Tonya and also bless them with financial help at this time.
