Blessing the Belskampers

Donation protected

In late 2017, Larry was diagnosed with stage IV neuroendocrine carcinoid. The
cancer had started in his small intestine but had metastasized and was primarily
in his liver. Since that time, Larry has received monthly injections in attempt to
keep his cancer at bay. Larry had a radioembolization to treat the liver in 2018
and chemo embolization in 2019. Larry continued his monthly injections until late summer 2020 when routine scans showed the cancer had progressed. He had
two more chemo embolizations in the fall of 2020. After difficulty recovering
from those procedures and increased pain, he had another scan in October
showing further progression of the cancer with more widespread metastasis into the spine along with multiple pathological fractures of the spine, sternum, and
ribs. Larry is currently going through the process of 10 palliative radiation
treatments for pain control. Following these treatments, it will be determined if
he will then start oral chemotherapy. Larry continues to experience severe bouts of pain. But his family is such a wonderful support! Larry has been able to work
off and on over the past three years but unfortunately he is unable to work at this time. Kim spends a lot of time lovingly helping Larry with tasks that are currently difficult for him to perform independently. I am hoping that with this fundraiser,
we will be able to Bless the Belskampers ! I pray that the donations will be able to bring them all a smile and lift some of the burden that they are carrying. I know
that any amount that you are able to give will be so appreciated and can help with medical bills, medications, assistive equipment, and meals. Thank you so much for your donations, thoughts, and prayers!

Also, if you would like to include a note, words of encouragement, or a prayer, I
plan to compile them into a book to give to Larry as well! If you are unable to
donate financially but would still like to give some words of encouragement,
please feel free to send a letter to:

If you know of anyone who may like to donate but is unable to donate virtually,
please feel free to have them send a check to this address as well. All donations
will be combined and given directly to the wonderful Belskampers!

We hope to be able to present the donations to Larry as a surprise gift!

With Love and Thanks,

Stephanie

Kim Belskamper is the recipient of the donations and has given me permission to withdraw funds on her behalf in order to transfer them to her. Kim’s daughter, Morgan, has been my best friend for 20 years. The donations will be used to cover medical expenses from the last 3 years of Larry’s stage IV cancer diagnosis.
