Love is always the answer.
Asking for help is often the hardest thing to do.

Please meet my beautiful cousin, Amber. She is the redhead in this photo. She changes her hair color often but her beauty always shines through. We grew up together nearly on a daily basis, so that I like to call us cousin-sisters. We are connected like two peas in a pod sharing the same love for life, creativity and humanity. She is one of the dearest people in my heart and I am so thankful for her being a part of my life.

She is a wife, a mama, a sister, a friend and my cousin. She is an artist, an activist, an “unschooling” organic natural parenting advocate and one of the most beautiful souls you will ever meet. Life is not easy for any of us, though I believe that tragedy and struggles are what help us see the beauty in life and appreciate the blessings we have. Though this does not mean that we should suffer needlessly if possible and does not mean that we should not allow others to help us if they can.

Sour is always paired with the sweet and misfortune with fortune.

Unfortunately, Amber received the diagnosis of a uterine fibroid tumor the size of a basketball in late June. Fortunately, it is operable but must be removed before it grows larger becoming inoperable. Her doctors have allowed her to delay her surgery until the end of September to allow her the time to save up her money for the co-pay portion of her surgery.

I have asked her to let me help by putting together this gofundme campaign, as she is overwhelmed with all that this has brought upon her and her family. Now that she has been able to tell all of the family and feel comfortable making her condition public, I am setting up this gofundme to help her. I have set the goal to raise enough money to cover their copay and a little extra to cover the gofundme transaction costs and anything that I might not be taking into account, including help she will need during her recovery which will be prolonged since the surgery will be an abdominal wall incision due to the size of the tumor.

ANY AMOUNT THAT YOU CAN SHARE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thank You So Much for helping me to help my cousin-sister; my Pea Amber, to receive her much needed surgery.

            Warmly and with gratitude,
            Your Friend,
            Melanie
