Hi.  My name is Penny.  My son recently joined the Navy in January 2020.  He is currently deployed on a ship.  According to a USA TODAY article posted in Oct, 2020, the active duty military suicide rate was at a six-year high in 2019 and they suspect Covid will drive that number even higher.  In an attempt to boost morale, I have begun collecting names and addresses of sailors and soldiers who don't receive support  &amp; encouragement from home.  These brave men &amp; women  work 12 + hour days, seven days/week, in hot and uncomfortable environments, and in hostile enemy territories-away from their families for holidays and extended periods of time.  I aim to offer HOPE, ENCOURAGENT, and GRATITUDE for these brave men &amp; women sacrificing for our freedom and safety.
