Bless And Support The Limon Family

Hello,

My name is Julie Nelson from the 2 42 Church campus in Livonia. The vision of the church and movement for the new year of 2022 is simple; to help you take next steps with God. It makes a difference when we all work together to achieve our mission: to help each other through our actions and time. Perhaps one of the most well known lines in scripture is “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The truth endures in our hearts and minds, even in this secular culture. Because it's so self-evidently true, when God stirs our hearts to give and we are obedient to him, we experience satisfaction and become more conformed to the image of Christ, who gave himself to us. The more we do what is right, especially in helping others, the more we LOVE to do what is right. Our God loves to teach us to love, to do good, reflecting His character. Through obedience, we are drawn closer to Christ and reflect his glory in the world.

“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Luke 6:28

I would like to share a story with you in regards to a beautiful family:

The Limon-Marquez family. A family with a father, Javier, a mother, Raquel, and 10 beautiful children from ages 5-23 years old. Javier is Native American Indian and Hispanic and Raquel is from Mexico. They have worked hard to give their family love and discipline. Javier opened his own business of cleaning and sanitizing air ducts. He was showing the trade of the business to his oldest sons. Raquel cleans offices in the afternoons. She takes several of her children to work with her to show them the labor of hardwork and love. The Limons oldest 2 daughters graduated from college and they’re now teachers for the community. Javier recently became a first-time grandfather this past year. A loving and kind family. A dedicated family. A hardworking family. I know this because they were our neighbors before we moved 9 years ago.

Sadly, Raquel will be having to raise her children without her husband-the love of her life.
Javier was having chest pains and was admitted to the hospital. Raquel would go to the hospital everyday to pray and wait. Her children asked her “Why would you go to the hospital everyday even though you can’t visit daddy?” She replied, “I am keeping my marriage vows through sickness and health.” A dedicated wife. He was there for 6 weeks before he passed away. Unfortunately, they never saw each other after he was admitted to the hospital. He passed away at the age of 56 years old. I asked her if there was anything we could do for her. Raquel replied, “Please pray for me.” A beautiful response from a widow and mother of 10 children.

So now I am going to ask our 242 Church Family “Is there anything we can help with?” I pray that each one of you has compassion and love for this family. Javier was the main provider for this family. The cost and expense of caring for this family is a worry for Raquel. The concern of the cost of their home expenses, cost of living and medical bills. I am asking to bless this family with monetary donations to help provide relief in their time of need and to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Thank you for your love and support.

Your sister in Christ,
Julie Nelson

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
