Sean is the kind of person who brings energy, laughter, music, and people together, the kind of presence that makes every room feel lighter. If you know Sean, you know he is an eternal optimist: someone who leads with positivity, finds light even in difficult moments, and makes the people around him feel supported, welcomed, and loved.

Many of you stood beside Sean and his family last year as they navigated his daughter's difficult medical journey (found here on her CaringBridge site), offering love, support, prayers, and strength during an incredibly challenging time. Now, Sean faces a serious battle of his own after being diagnosed with Primary CNS Large B Cell Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer affecting the brain and central nervous system.

True to who he is, Sean has approached this challenge with strength, determination, and the same optimism that has defined him throughout his life. His treatment journey will be intense and demanding, consisting of but not limited to aggressive chemotherapy, countless scans and labs, a stem cell transplant, extended hospital stays, ongoing monitoring, and a long road of recovery ahead. As we all know, life can change in an instant, often in ways we never expect and could never prepare for. Over the last year, the Hanna family has experienced firsthand just how fragile and unpredictable life can be.

Now, as Sean begins this difficult journey, we hope to surround him with the same love, strength, and support that he has given so freely to so many others. While none of us can know what the road ahead may hold, we do know that Sean will not face it alone.

While he would never ask for help himself, so many people have reached out asking how they can support him during this time. This page was created to give friends, family, and loved ones a way to rally around Sean as he focuses on treatment, healing, and recovery.
