Blas Martínez, un miembro de nuestro Grupo de Estudio Bíblico, se accidentó el 11 de diciembre, resultando con una fisura en una vértebra de la columna. Tendrá que estar con un soporte rígido del torso durante 6 a 8 semanas, y usar muletas si se para de la cama. No podrá trabajar, y él es la única fuente de ingresos para su familia. Necesitamos apoyarlos como hermanos en Cristo durante este tiempo. Se ha solicitado que el Hospital Duke absorba los gastos médicos como paciente de caridad, así que no estamos calculando tener que pagar éstos. Blas Martinez, a member of our Summit Small Group, suffered an accident on December 11 when a deck fell on him and fractured a vertebra in his spine. He will have to wear a body brace for 6 to 8 weeks and use crutches when he is not in bed. He will be unable to work, and he is the only source of income for his family. We need to support as brothers in Christ during this time. They have requested that Duke Hospital absorb the medical expenses as an indigent patient, so we do not believe he will have to pay those medical bills. But they will need money to live on during those weeks. Another form of help could be occasional purchases of food to feed the family (they have 2 preschool children).
