Blaney Family Fund

Our friend, Chris Blaney, one of the happiest most upbeat people that any of us have ever met, was diagnosed recently with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Last month, Chris had surgery to remove a large tumor from his abdomen. The surgery was incredibly invasive, and Chris spent five days in the hospital in Boston. Tracy was with him every second she could spare but it was challenging for all of them, especially for their youngest, Claire. After surgery, Chris learned the stage of his cancer (four) and that it has spread to his abdomen wall and to his lymph nodes.

Tomorrow, Chris starts a six-month chemotherapy treatment. He and Tracey will travel twice a week, every other week, to receive chemotherapy treatment via pump. The entire process will take between 4-6 hours for each treatment.

It is not surprising that Chris is working hard to stay positive for his wife, Tracey, and their three children: Connor, Patrick and Claire. Today (August 28) he was all smiles and positivity as he prepares to begin chemotherapy tomorrow.

Please consider donating to this family that we all love so much. It’s hard to imagine all the unexpected costs associated with this treatment: but we know they need our help. We will continue to post updates here as Chris’ treatment progresses.
