Blanca, my beloved sister, along with her daughter were involved in a devastating accident over the Easter weekend.
As she and her daughter were riding a golf cart along South Padre Blvd, enjoying the day at the beach , they, along with other passengers, were involved in a tragic accident. Both, my sister and niece, were seriously injured and taken to different hospitals, but my sister sustained critical injuries to her head and still remains at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. My sister has already gone through several medical examinations and has received several costly treatments due to loss of blood and trauma to her head and is still in need of more medical assistance.
While she faces a long road to recovery, my family will remain optimistic and hopeful. Unfortunately, my sister and niece have no medical insurance and medical bills are already mounting. My niece was treated for her injuries at hospital and released short after, but my sister continues to be treated. Our family was just informed today that we need to make a payment of $10,000.00 by this Thursday, April 12th, 2018 to continue with hospital treatment for my sister.
This was a shock to the family. They have had their hands full with medical tests and doctors. They don't know what the total cost will be or how long my sister will be in the hospital, but we felt we needed to start something to help alleviate any financial stress so they can focus on treating and healing my sister.
No one ever anticipates the unthinkable let alone plan for it, because you just don't think it will ever happen to you. I am asking from the bottom of my heart to please help us raise money for my sister and her family. No one likes to see their loved ones suffer, much less have that stress of how they will pay for their medical bills. The money donated will be used to pay medical expenses and to help daily living expenses.
