My name is Kristin Robinson Crunkleton and I've set up this GoFundMe for my good friend, Blake Elliott and his family as they navigate the next several months of healing he'll have to go through. In Blake's own words:

"Friday night, I had a freak accident and broke my left femur bone. (This is also the leg that I use my prosthetic on.) I had to have major surgery to fix everything, and it has left me in severe pain. Now I can't work until I can get around. Getting around is very hard because of my one arm and bad leg to begin with.

Rent and utilities are about due, the twins' birthday is next week, and we have Christmas coming up for all the kids. With me being a tattoo artist, I'm screwed... I can't go to work, and since I can't do that, I make no money. There is no sick time or PTO.

I am in desperate need to pay for rent, which is $1350 a month, utilities almost $300 a month, and I mean I can figure out birthday and Christmas because the kids are so young, but the bills are really scaring me. Insurance was also canceled on me, which I'm in the middle of getting back, but I had to pay all upfront, out of pocket for blood thinners and pain medication.

Please, I am asking for anything from anyone to help me and the kids out. Please share this, and please help us. I don't want us to go homeless before Christmas or anything... I hate to ask, and I'm usually stubborn, but I don't know what else to do when I can't even leave the bed currently."

The type of break Blake sustained was a rare spiral fracture of the left femur. He had to have a rod placed in the femur and then screwed together. He will need to have extensive PT once he begins to heal as well.

I'd like to cover the cost of at least 3 months' rent, utilities, food, and hospital bills by utilizing this GoFundMe. Blake will more than likely be out of work through the holidays and through the month of January. Then there will be physical therapy and hospital bills to get through. We are hoping that he'll get picked back up by his insurance, but in the event that doesn't happen, I'd like to try and get these out-of-pocket costs covered for him and Frankie.
