Help Support Blake’s Family During His Fight with HLH
Hello, my name is Priscilla, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother Sebastien, his wife Marie-Eve, and their beautiful family as they face one of the most difficult challenges of their lives.
Their 4-year-old son, Blake, has been hospitalized at CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) with a rare and life-threatening illness called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), triggered by an EBV (mononucleosis) infection. HLH is a severe immune system condition that requires aggressive treatment and a long hospital stay. Blake has already been in the hospital for 2 weeks, and doctors have indicated that he might need to stay much longer to continue treatment and monitoring.
Marie-Eve, Blake’s mom, has been by his side at the hospital 24/7, as any parent would be. Unfortunately, this has forced her to step away from running her home daycare, her primary source of income. This loss of income has placed a tremendous financial strain on the family.
Sebastien is doing everything he can to keep their household afloat. He continues to work full-time and is putting in overtime hours whenever possible. But with only one income and four other children at home, it simply isn’t enough to cover all the family’s basic needs, including groceries, bills, and everything else needed to be tended to, like gas money to be able to travel to and from the hospital, parking fees, food while being away, etc.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden on this loving and hardworking family so they can focus on what truly matters: Blake’s recovery and the well-being of their other children. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference — whether it helps pay for gas, groceries, bills, or simply gives them one less thing to worry about during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your community. The more people who see their story, the greater the support they can receive.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and generosity.
